AUSTRALIANS could soon fly to London return for $1000 under plans by Malaysia's Air AsiaX to slash long-haul airfares.
Flights by are due to begin from the Gold Coast in November. A Melbourne service is likely to follow early next year. Air AsiaX chief Azran Osman-Rani said the $1000 ticket would be a standard fare, not a promotion or early-booking inducement. It does not include taxes and airport charges.
